Sponsorship policy

The purpose of this policy is to:

• establish clear principles and procedures for accepting and awarding sponsorship proposals
• ensure transparency, accountability, and sound financial management
• provide guidance on contractual arrangements related to sponsorship
• maximise opportunities for commercial sponsorship aligned with strategic priorities and values
• protect the Council’s reputation and interests in sponsorship agreements
• ensure best value in sponsorship arrangements
• safeguard Members and Officers from conflicts of interest or allegations of inappropriate conduct
• promote a consistent and effective approach to sponsorship across the Council
