Easton Street Multi-Storey Car Park - latest update
Buckinghamshire Council has appointed and is working with Coleman Group to carry out the demolition of the Easton Street Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP) in High Wycombe.
The demolition marks the next stage in the site's transition and will prepare the area for potential future uses. Removing the outdated structure will help unlock and explore opportunities to improve connectivity within this part of the town centre and support the Council's wider regeneration objectives for High Wycombe
Progress to date
Coleman Group began mobilisation activities on site on 24 August 2026. Good progress has been made on site since our last update:
- Site establishment commenced during the week beginning 24 August 2026, including the installation of site hoarding, welfare facilities and completion of local service isolations.
- Site security measures have been fully implemented and are now operational.
- Internal strip-out works and waste removal commenced on 1 September 2026 and are progressing well.
- Scaffold installation has commenced on the southern and eastern elevations of the structure, supporting preparation for the next phase of demolition works.
These activities are essential to ensure the demolition works can be undertaken safely and efficiently, whilst minimising impacts on neighbouring properties, businesses and the wider town centre.

Next steps
Over the coming weeks, works will continue to progress as planned:
- Mechanical demolition is scheduled to commence from 7 September 2026.
- Initial activities will focus on the creation of controlled drop zones and the safe preparation of the structure for demolition.
- All works will continue to be carefully managed to minimise disruption and ensure the safety of site personnel, neighbouring occupiers and members of the public.
