Report an abandoned vehicle
What happens after you report an abandoned vehicle to us
We will try to contact the owner. If we find the vehicle has been abandoned, a notice will be issued, warning that the vehicle will be removed if no one claims it. After the notice period we remove the vehicle and take it to a compound or destroy it.
- 24 hour notice – if the vehicle is dangerous
- 7 day notice – if on public land, road or highway
- 15 day notice – if on private land
