A case officer will review your submission and email you with a written response.

Depending on the service you select within the form, you may also get a meeting either on-site, at our offices or via Microsoft Teams.

The written response will tell you:

• any of our policies that affect your planned work
• any issues that could affect your plans
• possible solutions to problems where needed

Within your request for planning advice, you can also choose and pay for any specialist advice that may help.

This could be advice about:

• archaeology
• ecology
• flooding
• highways
• landscape and urban design
• listed buildings or conservation areas (heritage)
• trees and hedges

We will ask for basic information about your planning proposal, including any supporting documents.

We aim to provide advice within 30 days, however this may take longer in more complex cases.
