Buckinghamshire Design Awards 2022

Buckinghamshire residents deserve great places to live and work as well as a healthy environment everyone can enjoy. Good design can help deliver this.

The Buckinghamshire Design Awards celebrate the best examples of good design in the county. They aim to raise the standards for future built development and land management in Buckinghamshire.

Nominations for 2022

The Buckinghamshire Design Award are running again in 2022 and we invite everyone to nominate their favourite new building or open space.

Later in the year, everyone will also have the opportunity to vote for an overall winner – the People’s Choice Award.

Categories for 2022

Different kinds of places can be nominated in one or more categories, which are:

  • public spaces
  • historic Places
  • unique buildings
  • new communities
  • travel and transport
  • climate change and nature

Our call for nominations opened on Friday 1 July 2022 and closes on Sunday 2 October 2022.

After nominations close

After nominations close on Sunday 2 October, we will draw up a shortlist of submitted projects, to be published on Your Voice Bucks.

A professional judging team will review the shortlisted projects in November 2022 and select winners in each category.

You will also get the chance to look at the shortlist and vote for an overall winner of The People’s Choice Award between November 2022 and February 2023.

Voting will close in late February and all Design Award winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 2 March 2023 and in the media immediately afterwards.
