Bus service disruptions and stop closures

These are updated Monday to Friday (only) and are subject to change.

During the following Public Holidays most bus companies in Buckinghamshire will operate their Sunday timetables. Bus services which do not operate on Sundays will not run. Please double check with your company before travel:

When: Ongoing until further notice

What: This road will be closed for works by HS2. Bus route 133 will divert missing stops in Chetwode.

When: Monday 28 April 2025 to Friday 28 August 2026

What: This road is closed for works by HS2. Bus route 16 will enter and leave Quainton via Blackgrove Road, serving Quainton between Aylesbury and Waddesdon. Passengers are advised that buses travelling towards Aylesbury will serve stops in Waddesdon up to 10 minutes earlier than usual. Buses from Quainton towards Steeple Claydon will serve stops up to 10 minutes earlier.

When: Monday 20 April to Sunday 23 August

What: This road is closed for utility works. Bus route 53 will divert via Cumberland Avenue and Northern Road, missing the Stoke Park stops on Park Road. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Farnham Lane instead.

When: Monday 27 April to Saturday 23 May

What: this road is closed for works by HS2. Service 112 buses will divert via Westcott and Waddesdon missing the stops in Upper Winchendon.

When: Monday 11 to Friday 29 May, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 40 will divert between Chipps Hill in Piddington and Marlow Road in Stokenchurch missing all stops on Wycombe Road and New Road between these locations. Please see further closures on the A40 below.

When: Monday 18 to Saturday 23 May

What: This road is closed for emergency repairs by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus routes 7, 7A and 7B will be unable to serve Broughton Estate.

When: Monday 18 to Thursday 21 May, 7am to 7pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Buses will divert as follows:

Route 850 will divert via West Street and Spittal Street, missing stops on Oxford Road, Queens Road and Dean Street

Route 156 will divert via West Street and Dean Street. Missing Spinfield Lane, Terrington Hill, Barnards Hill and Queens Road.

Routes 156A and 625 will divert via Dean Street. Missing the stops on Oxford Road and Queens Road.

When: Monday 18 to Thursday 21 May

What: This road is closed for works by Openreach & Anglian Water. Bus route 1B will divert missing all stops in Penn Street and Winchmore Hill.

When: Monday 18 to Friday 22 May, 7pm to 7am (5 nights)

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 40 will divert missing all stops between Ibstone Road in Stokenchurch and Piddington village on these nights.

When: Friday 22 May and Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 May, 7pm to 7am

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. On Friday 22 May bus route 130 will divert via Bradenham Wood Lane and Lacey Green, missing all stops on the Wycombe Road between Bradenham Wood Lane and Woodway in Princes Risborough.

Between 26 and 29 May, buses will divert as per route 300 missing all stops on the West Wycombe Road, Bradenham and Saunderton, please also see West Wycombe Road closure below.

When: Saturday 23 to Monday 25 May, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Openreach. Bus routes B1, B2 and B12 will divert via Radclive Road missing the stops on Main Street. Passengers are advised to use the Village Hall stops on Buckingham Road instead.

When: Saturday 23 to Sunday 31 May

What: This road is closed for works by Affinity Water. Bus route 105 will divert via New Road missing stops on Tower Road and the Quarrendon Farm stops on Gore Hill.

When: Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 May

What: This road is closed for works by Anglian Water. Bus route 163 will divert missing stops in Slapton and Billington.

When: Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 May

What: This road is closed for works by UKPN. Bus routes 111, 112 and 113 will serve the bus shelter at the junction of Oxford Road and Manor Road and then turn at that junction missing the stops on Worminghall Road and College Crescent.

When: Tuesday 26 May, 7am to 7pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. All buses will divert via the bypass missing all stops on London Road, between the town centre and Tesco. Service B3 will run to Badgers Way as normal but then turn back to the bypass missing the stops on Bourton Road and Bourtonville.

When: Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 May, 7pm to 7am

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus routes 40 and 130 will divert as follows:

Bus route 130 will divert as per route 300 between High Wycombe and Princes Risborough missing all stops on the A40 West Wycombe Road and the A4010 Bradenham and Saunderton. Please also see A4010 closure above.

Bus route 40 will divert between Chipps Hill in Piddington and High Wycombe town centre missing all stops in Piddington, West Wycombe and on the West Wycombe Road.

When: Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28 May

What: This road is closed for works by Cadent Gas. Bus route 105 will serve Chessmount Rise, Pheasant Rise and Waterside as normal then turn diverting via the Amersham Road and North Road. Stops on Bois Moor Road and Bois Lane will be missed.

When: Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 May, 7am to 7pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways between Grenville Road and Ellen Road. Bus routes 9 and 11 will divert as follows:

• Route 9 will divert via Grenville Road missing the stops on Church Square and the Carrington Road stops.
• Route 11 will divert via Grenville Road and Cottesloe Road missing the stops on Church Square and Taylor Road.

When: Tuesday 26 to Saturday 30 May, 8pm to 5am (4 nights)

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 50 will divert via Mandeville Road, Lower Road and Station Road in Stoke Mandeville. All stops between Walton Street in Aylesbury and Station Road in Stoke Mandeville will be missed.

When: Wednesday 27 to Friday 29 May

What: This road is closed for works by Anglian Water this road will be closed. Bus routes B1 journeys towards Brackley and B2 journeys towards Buckingham will divert via Sandpit Hill. Passengers are advised to wait at the junction of Sandpit Hill and Water Stratford Road and hail to the driver to stop. Those routes travelling in the opposite direction will be unable to serve Tingewick.

When: Thursday 28 and Friday 29 May, 7am to 7pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 104 will divert via the A40 and Potkiln Lane resuming normal route on School Lane in Seer Green.

When: Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May

What: This road is closed for works by Thames Water. All buses will divert via the bypass missing stops in Aston Clinton on these days.
