Bus service disruptions and stop closures

When: Monday 21 October 2024 to Friday 28 March 2025

What: In addition to the current long term closure of School Hill, Calvert; Gawcott Road, Calvert will also be closed during the above period for HS2 works. As such routes 16 and 18 will be diverting and while all stops will be served delays are likely. From 28 October, route 18 will operate to a revised timetable.

When: Monday 28 October to Friday 20 December

What: This road is closed for works by HS2. Bus route 16 will enter and leave Quainton via Blackgrove Road, serving Waddesdon before Quainton on journeys towards Aylesbury, and serving Quainton before Waddesdon on journeys from Aylesbury. Passengers are advised that buses travelling towards Aylesbury will serve stops in Waddesdon up to 10 minutes earlier than usual. Buses from Quainton towards Steeple Claydon will serve stops up to 10 minutes earlier.

When: Monday 2 to Thursday 12 December, 9am to 3pm

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 33 will divert via Chiltern Avenue missing the Laburnum Road and Methodist Church stops.

When: Wednesday 4 to Friday 20 December

What: This road will be closed for works by HS2. Bus 133 will divert missing stops in Chetwode and Preston Bissett.

When: Sunday 8 and 15 December,

What: This road will be closed for works on the canal bridge. Bus route 502 will divert missing the stops along here.

When: Monday 9 to Friday 20 December, 10pm to 5am

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus routes 149, 194 and 199 will divert missing stops on Gilberts Hill and Cholesbury Lane.

When: Saturday 14 December, 10am to 3pm

What: Due to a Christmas event stops in the town centre including the Bus Stand on the High Street will not be served during these times. Buses will divert as follows:

• Services 18 and 60 will operate a one way loop via the Bypass, Bourton Road, Bourtonville and then the London Road. Passengers on the London Road are advised to wait near the lamp post after the Bourtonville junction.
• Service X6 will divert via London Road, Bourtonville, Bourton Road, A413 and will resume its journey to Milton Keynes at Stratford Road and vice versa. Passengers on the London Road are advised to wait between Bourtonville and Bernadines Way, and hail to the driver to stop.
• Service 132 will not be able to serve Western Avenue, Overn Avenue, Moreton Road or Maids Moreton. Journeys will depart from the stops on Stratford Road.
• Service X5 will serve the Tesco stop on the London Road only

When: Sunday 15 December, 8am to 5.30pm

What: Due to a monthly market this road will be closed. Bus routes 1 and 1A will divert missing the stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street and the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane.

When: Saturday 15 December, 9am to 3pm and Sunday 16 December 8.30pm to 5.30am

What: This road will be closed for works by HS2. Bus routes 130 and 300 will divert via Nash Lee Road, Wendover Road and Station Road missing stops on the Risborough Road.

When: Tuesday 17 December, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 177 will divert via Chesham Bois missing the stops on Church Street, Missenden Road, Hyde End, Hyde Heath and Copperkins Lane.

When: Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 December, 8pm to 5am

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 130 will divert via Naphill missing stops along the West Wycombe Road and on the A4010 between Bradenham Wood Lane and West Wycombe.

When: Friday 20 December, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road will be closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus routes 111 and 112 will divert missing the stops on The Square in Brill. Passengers are advised to use the stops on Church Street instead.
