Bus service disruptions and stop closures

These are updated Monday to Friday only and are subject to change.

When: Monday 21 October 2024 to Friday 15 August 2025

What: In addition to the current long term closure of School Hill, Calvert; Gawcott Road, Calvert will also be closed during the above period for HS2 works. As such routes 16 and 18 will be diverting and while all stops will be served delays are likely.

When: Monday 27 January until further notice

What: This road will be closed for works by HS2. Bus route 133 will divert missing stops in Chetwode.

When: Tuesday 1 April to Friday 16 May

What: This road will be closed for works by Anglian Water. Once the Crown at Little Horwood is served, bus route 50 will turn and make it's way to Winslow via Great Horwood. No stops will be missed but there are likely to be delays to route 50 during this period.

When: Sunday 20 April to Sunday 1 June (except 12 to 17 May)

What: This road will be closed for works by HS2. The One group bus services will divert via the A413 bypass and Gore Hill missing stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street and the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane. For these stops passengers are advised to alight at the stops on Gore Hill, where a shuttle service will operate every half hour to and from the Hospital between 7am and 6.30pm.

When: Monday 28 April to Sunday 31 July

What: This road is closed for works by HS2. Bus route 16 will enter and leave Quainton via Blackgrove Road, serving Quainton between Aylesbury and Waddesdon. Passengers are advised that buses travelling towards Aylesbury will serve stops in Waddesdon up to 10 minutes earlier than usual. Buses from Quainton towards Steeple Claydon will serve stops up to 10 minutes earlier.

When: Friday 2 to Wednesday 7 May, 8am to 5pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus routes 149 and 194 will need to divert missing the stops in Hawridge village.

When: Thursday 8 and Friday 9 May, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 16 will divert missing the stops on Ashendon Road and High Street, Westcott.

When: from 4pm on Friday 9 May to 6.30am on Sunday 11 May

What: Due to the annual Charter Fair event buses will be unable to serve stops on Wycombe End (between London End and Butlers Court Road) or Aylesbury End. Passengers are advised to use the Candlemas Lane stops on Station Road for most routes except service 31, which will start and finish at the Post Office stops on Station Road.

When: Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 May, 9.30am to 2pm

What: This road is closed between Henry Road and Broughton Avenue for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 7 will divert via Henry Road missing the Eastfield Road, Malvern Road and Broughton Avenue stops.

When: Wednesday 14 May, 9.30am to 3.30pm

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route 54C will be unable to serve the Village Centre stop on this day.

When: Wednesday 14 May, 8pm to 5am

What: This road is closed for works by Buckinghamshire Highways. Bus route X5 will divert during these times missing the bus stand on the High Street. The 0527 X6 journey from Buckingham Tesco to Milton Keynes will miss stops on London Road, the High Street and Stratford Road.

When: Sunday 18 May, 8am to 5.30pm

What: Due to a monthly market this road will be closed. The replacement shuttle service for the HS2 works will therefore not run on this day and stops on The Broadway, Whielden Street and the Hospital stops on Whielden Lane will not be served.
