Apply for discounted bus travel for 16 and 17 year olds
16 and 17 year olds in Buckinghamshire can get discounted single fare bus travel with a Yoti CitizenCard.
The Yoti CitizenCard is:
- a proof of age card
- available free of charge (through your school or college)
- or available for a cost of £18 from the CitizenCard website
Bus journeys must be entirely within Buckinghamshire.
How to apply
To apply for the free pass you'll need to:
- complete the application form PDF, 273KB
- return it to your school or college
You can also apply for the cost card directly through the Citizen Card website.
When you can use your bus pass
The discount is available:
- after 9am on weekdays
- all day at weekends and bank holidays
Participating bus operators
You can use the pass on the following buses:
- Arriva (except X60 Aylesbury -Milton Keynes route)
- Carousel
- Langston & Tasker
- Redline
- Red Eagle
- Red Rose Travel
- Star Travel
- Z&S Transport
The card must be shown to the driver when you buy your ticket.
Journeys within Arriva's Aylesbury and Wycombe Plus zones and Carousel Buses' zones A and B will be £1.20. Single journeys outside of these zones will be £1.50
