About the park and facilities

The Common is a large area of rough grassland with open views to the west of High Wycombe, on the edge of Lane End village.

Conservation groups are actively working on the park (which covers 25 hectares) where there are wild flowers, ponds, allotments and paths through the scrub and trees.

Rights and responsibilities at the park

Local commoners have grazing rights.

We hire contractors to cut about 8 hectares of the common several times a year. We're responsible for encroachment issues and basic Health and Safety.

The Dashwood Estate (of West Wycombe Park) owns the common. They grant access rights to residents with properties on the common.
