About the park and facilities
Vale Park is Aylesbury’s main central park with a contemporary feel, beautiful trees and striking flower beds.
There is lots of seating throughout the park and it's ideal for informal games and picnics.
Aqua Vale Swimming & Fitness Centre
Aqua Vale Swimming & Fitness Centre is inside Vale Park, which includes:
- swimming pools
- a gym
- 3G 5-a-side football pitches (available for hire)
- a café
- toilets

Play areas, skate park and other facilities
The park also has:
- a modern, fenced play space (for ages 2 to 14)
- tarmac-surfaced multi-use games area (for football and basketball)
- modern outdoor calisthenics fitness area with a suspension trainer, steps and ‘turbo challenge’ obstacle course
- a skate park
- 2 tarmac-surfaced tennis courts (available for hire)
- public toilets with disabled facilities
Inclusive play items include:
- ball courts
- a large seat rocker
- a disc roundabout
- a tyre swing
- a wide access slide
It's also a Green Flag Award-winning park (the quality benchmark which recognises well managed parks and green spaces).
Book a tennis court
We have started charging a small amount for use of the tennis courts to help us keep them in excellent condition and ensure they remain safe and accessible for everyone.
The cost is £6 per court (per hour).
To book a tennis court you can either:
- scan the QR code on the gate sign which will take you directly to the park booking page on the LTA website
- visit the LTA website and search for the park by name, town or postcode
Access and parking
There is good pedestrian access from the town centre, with hard-surfaced paths to all of the facilities.
There is a pay-and-display car park at Aqua Vale with designated disabled bays.
There is also limited roadside parking available.
Damage or vandalism
Occasionally sites may be subject to misuse or acts of vandalism, including:
- broken glass being left on the ground
- damaged play equipment
- graffiti
