Follow the Donkey
14. Why is it called the Marlow Donkey? (The Princes Centre)
A group poem
The donkeys trod that path before there were trains.
The trains were as slow as donkeys.
They stopped like donkeys to refuel.
 They carried a heavy load.
 They mistreated the donkeys.
The train looked sad and threadbare.
The train looked happy trotting back and forth.
The train is stubborn and reliable as a donkey.
They couldn’t make it go, no matter how hard they tried.
 Personally, I prefer horses.
