Studying at archives
We have one room where customers can study material:
Archives searchroom
If you wish to see original records it is best to book a space in advance.
On weekdays you can request up to 10 documents per session (morning or afternoon).
On a Saturday you can request up to 8 documents per session.
These documents must be ordered in advance.
In addition it is possible to order an additional three documents throughout the day.
To protect our precious documents, we do not allow pens, food or drinks in the archives searchroom. This includes water bottles.

This contains maps, text books and other documents detailing local history. Let us know what you would like to use during your visit, for example a microfilm reader and reference books.
Computers are available for you to use and you may find it useful to bring a USB stick
