Aylesbury Vineyard Storehouse Food Bank

The Storehouse supports households that are financially struggling with food and essential items and is open 2 days a week.

For Christmas they are running a reverse advent calendar and are in need the following donations and Christmas items:

  • tinned meat
  • tinned tuna
  • tinned fruit
  • pasta sauce
  • rice pudding
  • custard
  • biscuits
  • tinned tomatoes
  • tea and coffee
  • stuffing
  • gravy
  • crisps
  • crackers
  • selection boxes
  • mince pies
  • cranberry sauce
  • yule log
  • sponge pudding
  • new toys and games

Donations can be dropped directly to the Vineyard – there is a donation trolley outside the entrance door.

Limes Avenue Food Bank, Aylesbury

The Limes Avenue Baptist Church Community Food Bank provides food and care parcels to those in need within the local community and deliver the parcels directly to the residents’ households. They offer this service to residents who are unable to travel to a food bank.

They are in need of the following donations:

  • tins of meat, fish and vegetables
  • tea bags
  • coffee
  • tinned fruit
  • custard
  • toothpaste
  • shower gel
  • pasta sauce

Donations can be dropped directly to the church (address below) – there is a donation bin where you can leave the items.

Youth Concern Food Bank, Aylesbury

Youth Concern run a food bank for their young people aged 13-25 and provide them with food and care parcels.

Over the Christmas period they will also be giving their young people chocolate and small gifts to those who do not have families to visit over Christmas.

They are in need of the following donations:

  • cereal and biscuits
  • UHT Milk
  • tea, coffee and sugar
  • tinned meat, fish, vegetables and soup
  • pasta Sauce
  • instant noodles and pasta
  • rice
  • male and female toiletries
  • sanitary items
  • chocolate
  • small Christmas gifts e.g. toiletry packs, socks, hats, chocolate/biscuit selection boxes

They accept donations at the door Tuesday to Saturday from 11.30am until 5pm.

High Wycombe Community Fridge - Women’s Cultural Arena

The High Wycombe Community Fridge support households that are financially struggling with fresh surplus, non-perishable food, and essential items.

Over the Christmas period they will also be offering hygiene and warm bags to residents.

They are in need of the following donations:

  • hygiene products
  • toiletries
  • warm items e.g., scarves, hats, socks for children, men, and women
  • fresh vegetables and fruits
  • non- perishable food - tins of fish/meat, pasta, rice, oil, tea, sugar, and coffee

Donations can be dropped off either:

  • Wednesday from 9.30am to noon
  • Thursday from 8am to noon

Chiltern Food Bank – Trussell Trust

Chiltern Foodbank provide emergency food parcels to local individuals and families in need in the Chiltern area and Wendover.

They provide residents with non-perishable food, toiletries, cleaning, laundry and feminine hygiene products and pet food.

They are in need of the following donations:

  • milk - cartons of long life, especially full fat
  • sweets and chocolates

Donations can be dropped at any of the food donation points below:

One Can Trust, High Wycombe

One Can Trust is a foodbank that provides emergency food parcels to people in crisis in High Wycombe and South Bucks.

They need donations of:

  • tinned meat meals (such as minced beef and onion or chicken in sauce)
  • tinned ham or corned beef
  • tinned potatoes and vegetables
  • pasta and cooking sauces
  • peanut butter
  • honey
  • rice (ideally brown 500 grams)
  • tinned soup
  • tea and coffee
  • baked beans
  • oats and healthy cereals
  • tinned fish (ideally oily such as sardines, mackerel or salmon)
  • UHT milk
  • cooking oil
  • tinned fruit
  • tinned pulses
  • tinned tomatoes
  • shampoo and shower gel
  • toilet roll

Volunteer at One Can

One Can need volunteers for food drives. Food drives are when volunteers attend local supermarkets for a few hours to raise awareness of the work of food banks and encourage people to donate.

Iver Food Bank

Iver Food Bank provide emergency food parcels to local individuals and families in need in Iver. They provide residents with non-perishable food, toiletries, cleaning, laundry and feminine hygiene products and pet food.

They are in need of donations of all non-perishable foods.
