The Connect to Work programme

From April 2026, Buckinghamshire Council will introduce Connect to Work, a new employability programme to help residents move closer to meaningful, sustainable employment.

Connect to Work will offer personalised, intensive assistance for people living with health conditions, disabilities or barriers that make finding work more challenging.

Connect to Work will:

• provide tailored, one‑to‑one support to help residents build confidence, develop new skills and access suitable job opportunities
• strengthen integration between the health, employment and skills systems, making sure that residents receive joined‑up support
• provide services within local neighbourhoods and clinical settings, making support more accessible and rooted in the places where people already receive care
• reach residents who are often underrepresented in mainstream employment, ensuring no one is left behind
