A Community Litter Pick in West Wycombe

Local priorities

In the coming months, we plan to:

  • invest in community spaces
  • implement improvements in community safety
  • improve traffic and road issues
  • enhance the infrastructure in public parks
  • expand community activities and events to strengthen community connections

Current projects

Sands village hall

We plan to modernise the toilet amenities to enhance accessibility and ensure the space is inclusive and fit for purpose.

Footpath improvements

We are working with our Highways and Waste Teams to arrange the cut back of vegetation and cleansing of footpaths at:

  • Chapel Lane to Toweridge Lane (crosses Pinewood Road).
  • Castlefield to Dashwood Avenue

The footpath between Castlefield and Dashwood Avenue is also considered unsafe so we're asking if it's possible to install new lighting.

Traffic and road issues

We are reviewing parking and traffic calming measures outside Wycombe Wanderers and Millbrook Combined School.

Desborough recreational ground

We're working with the Green Spaces and Parking Teams to assess the flooding and parking issues at Desborough Recreational Ground. We aim to identify effective and sustainable solutions.

Community activities and events

We are considering holding community activities and events to strengthen local engagement and participation.

This will include recruiting more volunteers for the Sands Wombles litter picking group.
