Local priorities

The ward partnership brings together local people, community groups, organisations, and councillors to take action on what’s important to their area.

Over the coming months, we plan to:

  • enhance community cohesion
  • improve traffic and road issues
  • implement safe and accessible routes to school, to encourage walking and other active travel initiatives

Current projects

Develop community hubs

Work with Wycombe Museum and St Francis Church to help make them more warm and inviting spaces and encourage residents to visit.

We will also make use of the museum and church to host schemes, events and activities which will:

  • promote digital literacy
  • strengthen community cohesion
  • support health and wellbeing of people in the area

Traffic and road issues

We are identifying potential road improvements along:

  • Lucas Road
  • Arnison Avenue
  • Green Hill

This is with the objective of improving safety and accessibility for road users.

Promote active travel for schools

We will work with our Sustainable Travel Team and Healthy School Awards programme to update school travel plans and promote healthy lifestyle initiatives in the ward.

We will also support schools to promote their travel plans to encourage active travel.

We will assess footpaths leading to schools in the ward and agree on improvements that can be made to improve their accessibility and sustainability.
