Southcourt Baptist Church - Bridge the Gap
Bridge the Gap are a community hub working to help ‘bridge the gap’ between the different members of the community.
Starting back in 2016 in response to the needs of the local people, they are based in the heart of the Southcourt estate - an area of high social and economic deprivation, where people often struggle to make ends meet.
Founders, Louise and Graham Clarke, who still run Bridge The Gap to this day, started the charity as a way to help those in the local community who are in need.
They originally started it as a cafe style set up, then in 2017, partnered with The Trussell Trust (now Aylesbury Foodbank) to help with providing food parcels. They also sought supermarket donations via FareShare. When Covid hit, Bridge the Gap became a real lifeline for the community and numbers increased rapidly. This pushed the charity to change its format to the set up we have today.
At Bridge The Gap, they work to help people to help themselves. They offer a safe space where people can build friendships and feel that they belong to a community. This is just as important as providing food and essentials.
Chiltern Foodbank

The organisation is run by local people for local people – and with the support of the community, they help to relieve the poverty that leads people into food crisis in the area.
Financial donations enable Chiltern foodbank to give grants to initiatives that help clients find long-term solutions, such as helping them get out of debt.
Big or small, every donation you give helps transform lives. Donate to Chiltern Foodbank.

Buckingham Clothes Bank
Buckingham Clothes Bank is a community-led initiative run by local residents who are passionate about making a positive impact in their town. Their mission is to reduce clothing waste that might otherwise end up in landfill, and to give garments a second life by redistributing them to those in need. They are open to everyone regardless of need, offering an environmentally friendly, free alternative to shopping.
They stock clothes for all ages including baby clothes, children’s clothes and a bra bank, ensuring women are given the dignity and confidence they deserve without the hefty price tag. Although the team is small, they’re always eager to welcome new volunteers who can assist with helping to host donation points, sorting and washing clothes or assisting with distribution at Grace & Garment.
