About the park and facilities
The park is ideal for picnics, informal games and walking.
It's a designated Local Wildlife Site (LWS) with a woodland spinney and wild flower meadow.
It's also a Green Flag Award winning park (the quality benchmark which recognises well managed parks and green spaces).
The park has:
- a large, fenced play space (for ages 2 to 12)
- multi-use games area (synthetic surface) for football and basketball
- teenage play equipment including a double hammock
- 2 tarmac tennis courts (available for hire)
- 1 netball court
- adult grass football pitches (available for hire)
- community centre (available for hire)
- public and disabled toilets
- a pump track (this was provided following a community-led project by Bedgrove Residents & Community Association with support from us)
Inclusive play items include:
- a large disk roundabout
- a very large disk roundabout
- tyre swing
- the football and basketball court
- spinning tyres
Access and parking
There is good access and a car park with disabled bays (next to the community centre).
The car park is linked to the other facilities by hard-surfaced paths.

If you encounter any problems on the day of your football pitch hire, call 07767 100550, available:
- Tuesday to Thursday, 6pm to 10pm
- Saturday, 6am to 6pm
- Sunday, 6am to 4pm
Book a tennis court
We have started charging a small amount for use of the tennis courts to help us keep them in excellent condition and ensure they remain safe and accessible for everyone.
The cost is:
- £6 per court (per hour)
- £11 per court (per hour) with floodlights
To book a tennis court you can either:
- scan the QR code on the gate sign which will take you directly to the park booking page on the LTA website
- visit the LTA website and search for the park by name, town or postcode
Damage or vandalism
Occasionally sites may be subject to misuse or acts of vandalism, including:
- broken glass being left on the ground
- damaged play equipment
- graffiti
