Buckinghamshire and Surrey Trading Standards
In April 2015 Buckinghamshire Council and Surrey County Council formed a joint Trading Standards Service. This merged staff into one service, hosted by Surrey County Council, to deliver consumer protection services within both authorities.
How the joint service works
The joint service is governed through a joint committee, comprising of representatives of both councils and underpinned by an "Inter Authority Agreement" signed by the two councils which details how the service will be operated.
