Priorities for 2022/23

The Culture and Leisure Cabinet Portfolio has identified the following priorities for 2022/23.

Country Parks

New visitor facilities at Black Park

Priority: Delivery of new visitor facilities at Black Park Country Park.

Outcome: Enhancing our existing green spaces and creating new spaces for residents and visitors; promoting healthy lifestyles.

A new Country Park at Stoke Poges

Priority: Opening a new Country Park at Stoke Poges.

Investment in parks and play areas

Priority: Continued investment in local parks and play areas through the capital programme.

Leisure Facilities Strategy

Priority: Delivering a Leisure Facilities Strategy and implementing the capital programme to strategically invest in our leisure facilities.

Outcome: Ensuring that we meet future needs, promote healthy lifestyles and participation in sport and physical activity, and support financial sustainability for our leisure facilities.

Priority: Maximising walking and cycling tourist loops to make the most of our expanding cycle network.

Priority: Supporting delivery of the Buckinghamshire Cultural Strategy action plan and coordination of cultural events.

Libraries Strategy

Priority: Developing a refreshed Libraries Strategy and continuing to roll out self-service technology.
