What support do you need to live a healthier lifestyle?

Buckinghamshire’s residents are being asked to think about what support would help them to lead a healthier lifestyle.

The Live Well Stay Well service provides a range of support and advice services to local residents on everything from how to lose weight, stop smoking or be more active. They also support residents to access an NHS Health Check, reduce the amount of alcohol they drink or manage their long term condition (e.g. diabetes, mental health).

A survey is being carried out to improve the service and make it as useful and relevant as possible to residents. Whether you have only used the service briefly, are a regular user or have never used it, the team would like to hear your views in order to make improvements and to better tailor the service to the needs of local people.

Councillor Carl Jackson, Deputy Cabinet Member for Public Health said: “For our Live Well Stay Well services to work at their best, we need to know more about how, why, where and when people use them. For people who have never used these services, we want to find out why so that we can plan accordingly and provide the right information and advice to those who want it.

“There is a lot of useful information and advice online already but our Live Well Stay Well programme is specifically aimed at residents in Buckinghamshire. Whether you are looking to get general advice on how to live a healthier lifestyle or want more specific support for dealing with a particular issue, it has details of local support and networks available.”

Carl added: “I would urge everyone to take a few minutes to complete the survey. This is the perfect opportunity to let us know what you want to see from your local healthy lifestyle service.”

The survey is short and should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. The survey closes on Wednesday 13 October.
