Home Library Service volunteer
Choosing books for housebound customers and delivering them to their homes once a month.

Home Library Service computer volunteer
Helping housebound library customers with online skills and using the eLibrary.

Learn My Way computer volunteer
One-to-one tutoring to help people gain new digital skills.

Bounce and Rhyme and Storytime volunteer
Leading small groups of parents singing well-known songs with pre-school children or reading picture books to pre-school children.

Family History volunteer
Helping people research the history of their family using resources at the library.

Events assistant (children)
Helping to run events for children, for example, craft sessions, lego or coding clubs.

Events assistant (adults)
Helping to run events for adults, for example, setting up events or serving refreshments.

Reading Hack volunteer
For 14 to 24 year olds. Helping to run activities that encourage young readers, including the Summer Reading Challenge. You can also use this as a volunteer placement for the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze or Silver Award.

Library shelving volunteer
Shelving items, helping to keep the library tidy, finding items and signposting questions from members of the public.

Before you start you will need details of 2 referees. You may need a DBS check for some of the roles. We will tell you how to get one if you need to.
