Boardmaker - for people who need additional support with communication
Boardmaker is computer software that uses picture communication symbols. It can help people who may need additional support with communication.
It can be used by:
- children and adults with autism spectrum disorders
- people with English as an additional language
- anyone with a disability or impairment that affects communication or memory
You can use Boardmaker to create visual schedules or reminders, instruction sheets for the classroom or to support the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS).

There is no charge for using Boardmaker in libraries. You will have to pay for printing. Every library with Boardmaker has a laminator that you can use to laminate your pages and symbols for free.
