If a property is empty for between 2 and 5 years, your Council Tax bill will be twice as much as an occupied property (a 200% charge).

Property that has been empty for 5 to 10 years

If a property is empty for between 5 and 10 years, your Council Tax bill will be three times as much as an occupied property (a 300% charge).

Property that has been empty for more than 10 years

If a property is empty for more than 10 years, your Council Tax will be four times as much as you'd normally pay for an occupied property (400% charge).
