Changing or closing your service

We expect all providers to continue providing care in line with government guidance. This guidance tells you how to provide care when people are displaying symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19).

If you are planning to change or stop the care that you are commissioned to deliver because of coronavirus, you need to contact the Integrated Commissioning Team to discuss the reasons for this. Please email [email protected] with URGENT CHANGE/STOP in the subject line and give details of:

• a summary of the changes you are planning to your service
• how many service users you have
• how many service users will be impacted
• any measures you're taking to adapt service delivery

If you are stopping a service, also give details of:

• the person or people impacted
• the current packages of care and any essential care that would put the health and safety of the service user at risk if they were stopped
• when you are going to stop providing care
• why you are going to stop providing care
• what you have done to consider alternative ways you could provide care

When we have this information a commissioner will contact you to discuss the next steps.
