Local Bus Services

Changes to bus services due to COVID-19

In order to keep bus services operating during the ongoing pandemic with reduced staff and passengers numbers, bus companies are changing their timetables at short notice. Please contact your provider or read the latest updates on our timetables pages.

Due to these short notice and ongoing changes, we're currently unable to update the paper timetables at the bus stops. Please check before travel and refer to the electronic displays where available.

Concessionary Bus Passes

Holders of concessionary bus passes will be able to use them at any time if travelling for their COVID-19 vaccination. This includes prior to 9am on Mondays to Fridays.

Travelling Safely

View the latest government guidance for travelling safely on public transport during the current crisis.

Please note, it is now mandatory to wear a face covering on all bus or train journeys, and in Transport Hubs such as railway stations and the bus stations in Aylesbury and High Wycombe. Please make sure you take one with you when travelling.

Aylesbury bus station

To help with social distancing, all buses that usually come into Aylesbury Bus Station will drop passengers off at a temporary stop on Great Western Street. Departures will continue from the normal bay, however, you may wish to use an alternative stop outside the bus station, please see options listed below.

Please consider using one of the following town centre stops for your journey:

  • Exchange Street
  • High Street
  • New Street
  • White Hill/Oxford Road (alighting only)
  • Friarage Road
  • Railway Station
  • Walton Street

These measures are due to the bus station's layout of an enclosed waiting room and restricted boarding areas. Please see our Where to board your bus poster to see which stops your bus serves.
