Local restrictions support grant (for open businesses)
From 2 to 19 December, we are using our discretionary powers to support the hospitality, hotel, bed and breakfast and leisure businesses that have been severely impacted due to local restrictions. Retail premises are not eligible for this grant.
The Local Restriction Support Grant for (for open businesses) will cease from 18 December. Eligible businesses will instead be eligible for the Local Restrictions Support Grant (for closed businesses). Businesses can still make a retrospective claim for the period 2 to 18 December.
Depending on when your business was impacted, eligible businesses can apply for both grants for different dates:
- the local restrictions grant for open businesses
- the local restrictions grant for closed businesses
The list of businesses eligible for each grant have been categorised by business type.
Retail premises are not eligible for this grant.
From 2 to 18 December, Local Restrictions Support Grants (LRSGO) operate on a 14-day payment cycle. The rateable value of your business property determines how much grant you will be awarded for each period.
|Rateable value||Amount of grant per 14-day period|
|£51,000 and over||£1,050|
