Living with COVID-19

Living safely with COVID-19

The government has removed remaining domestic restrictions in England.

As we learn to live safely with Coronavirus, there are actions we can all take to help reduce the risk of catching or spreading COVID-19.

These actions can also help to reduce the spread of other respiratory infections, such as flu, which can spread easily and may cause serious illness in some people.

Getting tested for COVID-19

Free NHS testing for coronavirus (COVID-19) has ended for most people in England.

You can no longer order tests from NHS 111 or 999.

If you still want to get tested and you're not eligible for a free NHS test, you must pay for a COVID-19 test yourself.

More information about who is eligible for free testing is available on the NHS website.

Guidance for people with COVID-19 symptoms

If you have symptoms of COVID-19 and you have a high temperature or you do not feel well enough to go to work or carry out normal activities, you are advised to try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people.

You can find more information and advice on managing COVID-19 symptoms on the GOV.UK website.

Buckinghamshire COVID-19 figures

You can view COVID-19 case figures for Buckinghamshire through the national dashboard (GOV.UK). However free NHS testing for coronavirus has ended for most people in England and published case data may not represent the number of infections occurring.

The number of deaths and admissions to hospital are still indicators of COVID-19 infection in the community. These figures are also available through the national dashboard (GOV.UK).
